1. Date of visit
It is not easy to schedule dates and times for visits to 1600 families. Please understand that you cannot choose your own date. Please try to accommodate the date scheduled for the visit to your home, and make your families available. If you really cannot make it on the date scheduled, please try to accept an alternate date of our schedule.
2. Advanced notice
Your zone coordinator will telephone or visit you to inform you of the date and approximate time of visit. If somehow you realize that your catholic neighbors have been scheduled but you have not been informed, please contact our Mission Center, call Charles Teo at
3. All family members
It is most appreciated if all family members, young and old, are present to meet the visiting priests. Families with non-Catholic members are cordially invited to be present too. However, they need not feel obliged.
4. No food & drink required
Each missioner will visit 7 families an evening. Please DO NOT prepare any food or beverage for him. Providing plain water would be adequate.
5. What to talk about?
Feel free to share with the priest about your faith experience and family concerns. Share what you like or dislike about the Parish. Mention any suggestion you have to improve the church life. Share what you think and how you feel about Catholic neighbors gathering for Bible reading and prayer, etc.
6. Special needs
If you have special needs, you make ask the missioner to pray with and for you. If you need your home to be bless, or need to make confession, etc, please inform the priest.
7. Follow up actions
If you need to enroll your child for catechism, if you need arrangement for Holy Communion to be brought to a home-bound member, if you need to validate your marriage (at the time of your wedding you were already a Catholic but you did not get wedded in Church), if you need material assistance from Society of St Vincent De Paul, etc., please make your request known to the missioner. |
